The Pace Quickeneth!

Seems like forever ago we shared anything going on here!  We've had more and more rich experiences and we love sharing them.  Our missionaries are seeing some of these pictures themselves for the first time.

We had a few more interviews and district councils and meals we were able to share:
The Office Couple are so warm and invited us to share district council and a meal in their home.  They do such a nice job keeping our mission functioning at a high level!  What a wonderful day.  We love these events.
These are the office elders we interviewed in their home. Since this picture, the Korean elder has been transferred to an area where he became a trainer.  They are doing and have done so many great things.
These are the two Assistants to the President who truly are our right and left hands!
This fine couple are Koreans who immigrated to the US nearly 40 years ago and came back to serve a mission among the Korean people. They are a blessing to our missionaries.
In one weekend we had six individuals enter the covenant path.  Each has a wonderful story. They range in age from very young to middle ages.  What a joy to be with those we could.

This young lady was friends with many members of the church and asked to meet with the missionaries.  She is so amazing!
This young man is attending university and met the missionaries while they were working on the street talking to people.  The message brought peace and joy to his life.
This elder's parents came to pick him up as he was to return home in two days.  His parents were able to attend the baptism and see the culmination of the great work he and his companion have been doing.

This man met the elders on the street and was impressed by the message. The young lady has been waiting two years to be baptized.  Her older sister is a member.  Her parents are impressed with the message and the joy it brings into her daughter's lives.  However, she herself is too busy and yet to find much interest.
The young girl below was so excited to meet with the sister missionaries.  Her brother is anxious to be next.
We said farewell to six wonderful missionaries.  Five of them had family come pick them up and visited the land of their child's service.  It is a hard few days as we say goodbyes.

This elder is actually from our area in Indiana!

 Headed back to Arizona...
 Also headed to Arizona ...
 Home to Nevada...
To California (place of birth was Mongolia)
Off to his home in Hong Kong.
Like in life, for every passing, there is a new birth, the evening after saying farewell we drove the airport to pick up the new group!
The elder below had to come on a separate flight a few hours later, but we were glad to have him even though his luggage didn't make it for 48+ hours!
The day after, we had a good orientation, matched them with companions and sent them off to work. This group has focused so much on speaking the little Korean they know every working hour.  They were an inspiration to everyone they met those first days.  We hope they keep up the energy.  They really will have an impact on everyone around them.
Each of these five elders have a different story, when they entered the MTC, they came from
Arizona
 Utah
 Florida
 Utah
 South Korea
We are so excited for the time we have with these fine young men.

Because this is more about Sister Turner and I than the missionaries you may not be interested, but we wanted to share a little of what we were able to enjoy during a recent preparation day.  We've been wanting to get up on the mountains to see the fall foliate colors and every time we tried something came up.  We were able to see a few things and wanted to share.
We'll start with some video clips of the foliage and a Buddhist temple.
This temple is one of nine on this specific mountain.  All were destroyed by the Japanese in about 1908 except this one.  However, it was destroyed by fire in 1975 and rebuilt.  It is an amazing place.  One our Facebook page is a longer version with more commentary.

This is the internal view of a temple with the Buddhist images and wall paintings.  We love to stop and visit Buddhist sites when we travel.  Each are similar and all are different.

I always enjoyed being a yard man.  This truck brought some good thoughts.

Finally, just today we enjoyed a Mission Leadership Council with our beloved Sister Training Leaders, Zone Leaders and Assistants to the President.  This was perhaps one of the best of our time here.  But, they seem to get better every time!

We never get tired of each other and hope the missionaries see this.  We want them to seek such a relationship.  We have so much fun together.

The camera had it's own mind again...

We don't see many of these in Korea... Probably only my second Dodge Ram in Korea
If you ever wonder where Buzz and Woodie ran off to...

Another fun couple of weeks.  We have trips to the temple planned for this week.  Hopefully, lots of pictures to follow.  The weather is expected to be good with lots of sun which will make photos a treat.  Thanks for viewing.   Please let your missionary know if you are seeing these and let us know if you want to see anything specific.  We love these young people and are thrilled to serve with the senior couples.  We are having a whole lifetime of rich experiences in only a few years!
